"When you are old" accepted into PROJECT : ENCORE™ catalog

Very pleased to announce that my SATB choral work “When You Are Old” – based upon the poem of the same title by W.B. Yeats – has been accepted into the PROJECT : ENCORE™ catalog.   Hopefully (soon?) choirs will again be able to gather and perform once again.   For view of a study score click here.

Founded in 2009, PROJECT : ENCORE (P:E) is a catalog of new choral works endorsed by a panel of internationally recognized conductors, supporting the composition and performance of new, high-quality choral music.

"When You are Old" SATB a cappella, on poem by W.B. Yeats When you are old and grey and full of sleep, And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep; How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true, But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face; And bending down beside the glowing bars, Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled And paced upon the mountains overhead And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
