Trifecta of wins from around the world
When it rains it pours – and sometimes in good ways! 😊 These past few days have been a trifecta of award wins from all over the world, and each award for a different piece. The first, “FIRE” from “Three Passions for our Tortured Planet” was awarded the Platinum Prize and Best Piano Solo from the World Piano Teachers’ Association Singapore International Piano Competition; pianist Kseniia Vokhmianina will be performing it in November.
The second, was First Prize in the Chamber Music Composition division from the Vienna Classical Music Competition for my String Quartet II.
And, finally, the third was a second place win in the XII International Composition Competition Opus Ignotum in Prague, for my choral work “Lux Aeterna” – the piece written in memory of my father who passed away last year.
